Despite suffering an eight-wicket defeat against champions High Wycombe, Potters Bar narrowly escaped relegation from Home Counties Premier League Division One.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Bar made a solid start as openers James Kettleborough (12) and Peter Sodbodjor (21) built a solid platform for the innings.
Number three George Scott added (26) before Marc Milligan (44) and Lenny Cooper (52) put together a strong partnership.
However, the lower order failed to make an impact and Bar were dismissed for 189 off 39.2 overs.
High Wycombe showed their title winning pedigree as they lost their first wicket with 70 already on the board.
Alex Jewell (81 not out) and David Cranfield-Thompson (91) added real value to the innings with a partnership of 117.
Cranfield-Thompson was then caught by Ben Taylor off the bowling of Thilan Walallawita but Sohail Hussain (four not out) helped Wycombe home inside the 22nd over.
Salman Choudhry (one for 29) was the other Bar wicket taker.
