Wingate & Finchley FC will be holding a Club Community day for their match against Cheshunt FC on Saturday April 9.
The “Renault Enfield Community Day”, originally scheduled last year before falling foul of the unseasonably bad weather, will offer a chance for new and existing fans to enjoy an afternoon’s entertainment in addition to what will be an important Ryman League match.
“There will be a number of events for people to take part in,” advised Commercial Manager Mike Bayly, “including a Penalty Shoot Out competition, Games Console tournament, and a Speed Cage event, where fans can test how hard they can strike a ball. In addition, the club will be running coaching and small sided games on our Astroturf facility for local school children, and players will be on hand to sign autographs and take pictures. We also have a number of great prizes available in our raffle, including tickets to watch Arsenal play, and signed football shirts. As long as the weather holds out this time, we anticipate it will offer something for everyone, and provide parents with a chance to talk to us about ways to get their children involved with the club’s highly successful youth team structure.”
The club would like to extend their thanks to both Renault Enfield and the Ackerman Group for their kind sponsorship offers which have enabled The Blues to lay on additional entertainment. Renault will also be showcasing one of their cars at the ground for any motoring enthusiasts to have a look at. Entrance on the day is £8 for adults, £3.50 for concessions and free for U16s.
Events start at 1pm. Further information can be obtained by contacting Mike Bayly on 07931 777958, or emailing mike@wingatefinchley.com
