Finchley's veteran racers switched from road racing to time trialling at the weekend, when Trevor Burke got together with Nigel Stephens to ride the Icknield Club Team Time Trial. Despite having to stop for technical problems on Burke’s bike, the duo recorded the excellent time of 45mins 14secs over a hilly 21-mile course, coming in second from a field of over 80 riders, most of whom were much younger than the Finchley pair.
