A goal on the hour was enough to sink Barnet at the Recreation Ground last night.
Once again, it was a case of missed chances for the Bees, particularly in the first half.
The visitors created a number of good openings, but could not put the ball away.
Aldershot struck against the run of play and it was game over 12 minutes from time, when left-back Matthew Parsons received a second yellow card, reducing Barnet to ten men.
The Bees have just eight games left and will probably need to win at least five of them to have a chance of staying up.
