Hendon have two home matches on the slate this week, both in the Ryman League Premier Division, writes David Ballheimer.

On Saturday afternoon, kick-off 3pm, the Greens entertain Margate.

Last season, the away team won both league encounters, Margate 2–1 at Vale Farm – Glenn Garner scoring for the Greens – Hendon 3–2 in a dramatic second-half comeback at Hartsdown Park (Jamie Busby, James Bent and Peter Dean the men on target).

This season, the match at Margate ended in a 1–1 draw (Busby netting for Hendon).

On Tuesday night, AFC Hornchurch visit Vale Farm with a 7.45pm kick-off.

When Hendon travelled to Bridge Avenue earlier this season, the match ended in a goalless draw, a far cry from the same fixture last year which ended in a thrilling 4–4 draw (Lubo Guentchev scoring a hat-trick and James Bent getting the other), while the return was won 3–2 by Hendon (Scott Cousins, Guentchev and Brad Thomas scoring).
