Wingate & Finchley FC are offering one lucky business the chance to be official shirt sponsors for the 2011/12 season, after the club revealed details of a special draw where a £500 investment could land someone the prestigious deal.
With sponsorship becoming more difficult to secure in these uncertain economic times, the club have opted to present all local companies with the opportunity to have their logo on the front of the team’s shirts, in addition to coverage on the official website, match day programme, pitchside advertising, newsletter and reports in local papers (such as the Times Series), which often carry full colour photos of the team.
The Blues, who play in the Ryman League, as well as the FA Cup and FA Trophy, are inviting companies to take part in the raffle-based arrangement where a single payment of £500 will gain entry into the limited 20-ticket draw for one-year sponsorship rights on the first team’s kit.
The deal would normally be valued in the region of £7,000 (PA), and offers a unique opportunity for excellent brand exposure at a limited cost.
For those who don’t scoop the main prize, each entrant will be entitled to shirt sponsorship for one of the club’s youth teams, as well as pitch side advertising, nominated match sponsorship, and coverage on the club website, including a special feature on each sponsor throughout the season.
This still represents excellent value for money in what the Blues hope is a win/win situation for local businesses.
In addition to the first team, which is currently primed for a play-off place, the club has also implemented a highly successful youth team structure, including the FLEX school of excellence, which has seen many of their sides reaching local and national cup finals.
In addition, a partnership has been forged with Barnet Mencap, resulting in a recent disability tournament which featured heavily in the press. As part of this work, the club runs promotion campaigns throughout Finchley and North London during the season, with a number of strategic poster sites all adding extra value and brand awareness.
The ticket price is £500+VAT each and there will be a limited number of 20 tickets available to buy, with no limit to how many can be purchased in one go.
