Hendon have two of their toughest assignments of the season on the slate in the next week, both in the Ryman League Premier Divison.

On Saturday, the Greens travel to Gander Green Lane, the home of Sutton United as they face the league leaders, who will be anxious not only to avenge the 1–0 defeat they suffered at Vale Farm a couple of weeks ago (Aaron Morgan the marksman), but also to bounce back from the 2–1 reverse they suffered at the hands of Wealdstone last weekend.

Last season, Hendon lost 3–1 at Sutton, Jamie Busby scoring from the penalty spot, and drew 0–0 at Vale Farm.

The victory in February was the first for Gary McCann as a manager against the Us, one of his former clubs from his playing days.

Then on Tuesday night, kick-off 7.45 pm, it will be Hendon looking for revenge.

Lowestoft Town, who crushed the Greens 8–1 (Belal Aite-Ouakrim on target) four days after the victory over Sutton, struggled to a 1–0 victory over Maidstone United, but are back in the play-off positions.

Hendon did face the Trawlerboys last season, in the FA Trophy, and second-half goals from Lubomir Guentchev and Dave Diedhiou gave the Greens a 2–0 victory.
