Hendon crashed out of the Cheshunt Youth League Cup, losing 5–1 to a Whitewebbs team, like Hendon, looking to complete a League and Cup double.

This was a hugely disappointing performance by Hendon, one which had joint manager Jason Fevrier seething.

He felt that a number of players really hadn’t performed anywhere near as well as they could and their attitude was equally unacceptable.

“Two or three players didn't turn up or played as if they were still in their pyjamas,” he railed.

Hendon were trailing to goals after 30 and 40 minutes, but they got back into the game two minutes before the break when Barkley MIGUEL PANZO scored after a long free-kick had been played into the penalty area.

A strong half-time talk seemed to get the team roused from their torpor, but a messy, multiply-deflected third Whitewebbs goal after 53 minutes knocked the stuffing out of Hendon and they conceded a fourth goal five minutes later.

Whitewebbs completed the scoring 20 minutes from the end. “I was so disappointed in the way that we played and the attitude we showed,” said Fevrier.
