The promotion-chasing Ryman One side is desperate for extra cutting edge in its U18s side.

First team action is not far off for the best players in that squad, so they could help secure promotion for the first team this season.

Meanwhile, the U15s showed a winning mentality by cruising into the final of the London County Cup.

Danson Sport were defeated 7-2 in the semi-final.

Manager Tucker O’Donoghue said: “After the achievements of last year's treble, plus the fact our boys were being snapped up by professional clubs, I knew this year was going to be a hard one to match.

“However, the boys have developed in strength, skills and technical ability and their commitment to the team has proved worthy so far.

“It has been a pleasure working with the boys this far and the future looks bright for them.”

In the younger age groups at Finchley, there were call-ups into the Eastern Junior Alliance Rep team for some of U13 side.
