Hendon make their longest ever league trip on Saturday when they travel to Suffolk to take on Lowestoft Town at Crown Meadow, writes David Ballheimer.
According to a route-finder website, Vale Farm to Lowestoft is a couple of miles further (and, in journey-time, almost 30 minutes longer) than the trip from Claremont Road to Yeovil which Hendon did a few times in the 1980s and 1990s.
The Trawlerboys have taken to Ryman League football like fishes to water and they are challenging for the Ryman League Premier Division title in their first season at this level of football.
The Greens were beaten 3-2 by Maidstone United on Saturday, but bounced back with a 1-0 win over leaders Sutton United on Tuesday.
