A former Barnet player has landed one of the top jobs in football.
As expected, Alan Pardew was today named the new boss of Newcastle United.
Pardew played for a number of clubs during his career, including Barnet, and went on to become a successful manager.
Now he has one of the top, but toughest, jobs in the game, as expectations at Newcastle are high.
Pardew has been given a five-and-a-half-year contract at St James' Park.
