INJURY has forced Barnet FC to part ways with valuable loan midfielder Mark Byrne.
In a development that will surely come as a blow to the struggling League Two outfit, Bryne has headed home for treatment.
The influential midfielder picked up a knee injury during the 4-1 defeat of Northampton, two weeks ago On as a substitute for Mark Hughes, Bryne was forced to quit the action after less than 20 minutes on the pitch.
The problem lingered and this week had not healed as it was hoped it would.
So now he has departed for treatment at parent club Nottingham Forest, in the Championship.
A club spokesman admitted to Times Series Sport that means Bryne is unlikely to return before his loan spell expires, later this month.
