Barnet picked up a much-needed three points with an impressive win over fellow strugglers Northampton at Underhill this afternoon.
The Bees followed up Tuesday's excellent performance in the FA Cup against Charlton with another good display.
And this time their hard work was rewarded.
The Cobblers actually took an early lead through Leon McKenzie, but Barnet were soon level thanks to a tenth-minute Steve Kabba penalty.
Liam Davis saw red for the infiringement leaving the visitors with just ten men.
And Kabba added a second just before half-time to put the hosts in full control.
Grant Basey struck a third early in the second half and there was no way back for Northampton.
There was even time for sub Ricky Holmes to net his first goal for the club, in stoppage time.
The Bees return to action on Tuesday, when Gillingham are the visitors.
