There was no killer sting, from either the Bees (Barnet Elizabethans) or Wasps when the two sides met on a waterlogged pitch at Byng Road on Saturday.
This was a poor display of rugby although neither team could master the difficult pitch conditions and a draw was about the right result.
Dropped points meant BE dropped to fourth place in the league table.
The visitors had the better of the first half, in terms of possession and territorial advantage, but coud only manage one converted try.
It looked as if BE would quickly overtake this in the second period as they had numerous early chances - GLYN BAYLEY just missed out on a chance, while a pushover scrum attempt just failed and PAUL NASH was held up under the posts.
Eventually, another pushover scrum was successful with DAN TAYLOR touching down for the try which JONATHAN HART converted.
Instead of BE pushing on, they went off the boil and kicked away possession too often. There were few scoring chances in the final quarter for either side.
BE are now away, this Saturday, to the Bank of England (2.30pm).
