James Ward
Wimbledon starts this week, but there will be no James Ward.
The Oakleigh Park Tennis Club member has not been given a wild card by the LTA, despite some recent good form.
Ward, currently ranked 342 in the world, pulled off two fine wins at Eastbourne, beating second seed Feliciano Lopez and then world number 72 Rainer Schuettler. He eventually lost in the quarter final to Alexandr Dolgopolov, world-ranked 47.
