Wealdstone 4 Hendon 5
Ryman League Premier Division
Hendon produced an amazing comeback to stun their local rivals in midweek. The Greens came from 4-1 down to gain their first points of the season.
A Belal Aiteouakrim goal had cancelled out an early effort from the hosts. But it looked game over when unbeaten Wealdstone scored three more to gain full control as half-time approached.
Even when Eugene Ofori pulled one back deep into first-half stoppage time, the three points still looked a long way off. But it was all Hendon after the break and John Frendo pulled another back midway through the second half.
The home defence were now taking a battering and Ofori drove in the equaliser nine minutes from time.
Two minutes later, Danny Murphy drove a cross to the far post. The ball beat everyone and finished in the corner of the net to earn Hendon a remarkable win.
