Hendon striker Eugene Ofori is wanted by fellow Ryman League Premier Division side Braintree Town.
The Greens said they had been approached by the Essex club and were doing all they could to persuade Ofori to stay at Claremont Road.
The forward missed Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat at Walton & Hersham through illness.
The Greens went into the game at Stompond Lane on the back of two excellent wins, but the hosts won it through a first-half Scott Edgar strike.
The Swans dominated the first half, but their winner had more than a hint of controversy about it, as Hendon keeper Dave King was clearly impeded as he went to reach a corner, with Edgar scoring from close range.
The visitors showed more grit after the break and should have got something from the game. Belal Aiteouakrim hit the post with a powerful drive and Ross Pickett saw the rebound well saved by the keeper. John Frendo was also denied by the home number one.
As Hendon pushed forward in search of the equaliser, large gaps appeared at the back and King was forced to save two one-on-ones late on to keep his side in it.
Hendon begin their FA Cup campaign this Saturday with a home game against Biggleswade United.
Edgware Town gained an excellent 1-0 win at Camberley Town in the Westview League Cup on Tuesday night.
A cracking 25-yard volley from Richard Morton on 66 minutes sent the Wares through to the next round.
It was a well-deserved win, with the new-look team working more and more as a cohesive unit.
