Finchley saw their Middlesex County League Division One title hopes take a serious blow on Saturday.
They really needed to beat runaway leaders and current champions Ealing, but went down by five wickets.
Ealing are now 33 points ahead of them, with ten points awarded for a win.
Finchley's Joshua Knappett hit an unbeaten 100 as his side made 246-5 from 60 overs, but Ealing reached their target in the 63rd over.
Mid-table Stanmore were convincing nine-wicket winners over Richmond.
Omar Anwar hit an unbeaten 140 as his side reached their target of 213 with the loss of just one wicket.
In the same division, Brondesbury lost to Shepherds Bush.
Barnet Bs were involved in a thrilling tie with Bessborough in Division Three.
Both sides were bowled out for 161.
Barnet are third in the table.
* Potters Bar went down by five wickets to Banbury in Home Counties Premier League Division One.
They are now fourth in the table.
Potters Bar were bowled out for 185 in the 63rd over. In reply, Banbury reached their target in the 34th over.
