Wingate & Finchley Ladies FC, as they are now known (formerly Hendon Women's FC), have returned with their heads held high after their first tournament playing in the Blues' strip.
They travelled to Clacton for the weekend, where they played 12 games over two days to reach the final of the St Osyth's 7-a-side tournament.
Unfortunately, by the final, they were struggling with three injuries, including goalkeeper Nicola Savoury, and were unable to contain opponents Eastbourne who managed a 2-0 victory.
The ladies run two teams, playing in the London and South East Premier Division, and Greater London Reserve Division One.
They are currently looking for new players and coaches of all abilities to join them for pre-season training, which begins on July 1.
