Adam Birchall scored against Brighton last season
Barnet's Carling Cup first-round tie at Brighton & Hove Albion has been set for Tuesday, August 12.
The match will be played at the Withdean Stadium, the Seagulls' current home.
The two sides met in the JP Trophy last season, with the League One outfit triumphing.
