Jack Parslow led Shaftesbury Barnet to victory in the latest Midweek Road Running League meeting at Welwyn.
The third race of the series was held over a testing two-lap course.
Parslow and Kevin Robertson ran the first lap well out in front, but it was the former who finished stronger in the final kilometre and deservedly deprived his team-mate of a clean sweep of wins in this series.
Andy Symonds came through brilliantly to finish third, while Anno Drent just got the better of fast-finishing Richard Williams in ninth and tenth respectively.
Daniel Lewis was next home in 13th, closely followed by the ever consistent Kevin Walden in 14th.
Eric Mayers (16th) had a storming run, just ousting Barry Walsh (17th) and Tony Grant (18th).
Patrick Pearce looked strong in finishing 23rd, while David Wright finished 28th, helping the Harriers to overall victory.
Victoria Webster triumphed in the ladies' race by an impressive four minutes. She was mixing it with the strong men club runners and finished a superb 15th overall.
The next meeting is in Stevenage on June 25.
