Barnet manager Paul Fairclough was delighted his side finished in a top-half position, but disappointed the Bees had nothing to show for today's performance at Milmoor.
The Bees rounded off their season with a 1-0 defeat at Rotherham, though the 60 points already gained was good enough for 12th position, their highest finish since returning to the Football League.
However, Fairclough felt his troops should have come away with all three points.
"We deserved a little bit better," he said. "That was a game we should have won. We lost 1-0 but murdered the opposition.
"The performance has given me huge optimism for next season. We lost to an early goal, but just dominated the second half."
Fairclough was delighted with his players' response after a disappointing opening 45 minutes.
"I told the players at half time to just go out and entertain me, and they did. It was a soccer feast for the purist.
"We had the opportunities to have won the game."
