Glebelands IBC members witnessed a memorable men's singles final at the weekend.
Both Alan Cawdell and Richard Roylands produced bowls of the very highest quality, as they battled for over two hours, attempting to establish superiority.
With first Cawdell, and then Roylands, nosing their way in front, it appeared that the latter had finally got the upper hand.
However, Cawdell got back to 17-18 and then produced four superb woods to snatch victory.
The ladies' final saw Sue Bard-Bodek recover from a poor start to beat Margaret Swift 21-8.
