Barnet Copthall Swimming Club continued their excellent start to the nationals qualifying season at the Middlesex County ASA County Championships as four swimmers qualified for the forthcoming Olympic trials.
Fleur Lewis, Jo Hobsley, Jess Arundale and Sophie Murray will seek to gain a place in the squad for the Tokyo games after successfully competing across two recent weekends at the London Aquatic Centre, which was home to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic swimming events.
In addition to reaching the qualifiers, Copthall scooped up over 100 medals across the two weekends, securing 51 golds, 40 silvers and 20 broznes.
Head coach Rhys Gormley said: “[I am] extremely pleased with the results and especially pleased with the performances of some of our younger swimmers.”
