Experienced coach Carl Muggleton is set to link up with Martin Allen for a third time as part of his backroom staff, the Barnet Times understands.
Muggleton will serve as goalkeeping coach under the Bees head coach, having been let go by Northampton following their League Two title win last season.
The pair have worked closely together in recent years, first when Allen took the 47-year-old to Notts County, before again linking up again at Gillingham.
There will already be a family connection at The Hive when Muggleton joins, with son Sam having made 27 appearances for The Bees last season.
The new coach will replace the departed Graham Stack, who decided to leave the club earlier this week.
