Barnet midfielder Tom Champion is expected to follow in the footsteps of Ben Tomlinson and move out on loan in the coming days in order to get games, Martin Allen has revealed.
The 29-year-old only joined the Bees from Cambridge United in the summer but after making just one league start in the first two months of the season he will be allowed to leave The Hive on a short-term basis.
Allen said: "I've had an offer for Tom from another club to go out on loan so I've given Tom that option. Nothing could be agreed on Friday.
"I just think it would be good for Tom to get out and play some games now. He has been on the bench and done really well for us when he has played but I think Tom needs to get out and play some games.
"There are clubs interested in him and over the next few days Tom will be going out on loan."
Speaking after Barnet's 3-2 win over Stevenage this afternoon, Allen revealed the central midfielder had been subject of several loan offers and expects him to complete a loan move away from the club in the next few days.
Tomlinson joined National League side Grimsby Town on Thursday less than four months after joining Barnet from Lincoln City.
