Three swimmers from Barnet Copthall Swimming Club face an anxious wait to find out if they will be selected for England.
Freddie Cornwell, 15, Yaron Gerber, 15 and Bradley Slavinec, 17, were chosen for the England Talent programme and took part in phase two of the scheme alongside 120 other swimmers.
If the trio did enough to impress selectors they will be chosen to join the England team on a training camp and offered international competitive experience.
Synchronised swimmer Alice Bell, 14, has been selected for the 2014 England Talent Squad following a long weekend at the National Sports Centre at Crystal Palace. She will join the first stage programme at half term.
Emma Frais and Katerina Zeddan, who compete in synchronised swimming, have been offered additional training sessions at the ASA Beacon Programme for south east England.
The girls will attend the programme in Aldershot at the home of the Great Britain High Performance Centre.
Barnet Copthall’s head coach Rhys Gormley: “The swimmers have worked very hard to get to this level over a number of years and I am extremely happy that they have been recognised by British Swimming for all their hard work and dedication.”
