Two outdoor table tennis tables have been presented to East Barnet College as part of an initiative between the Jack Petchey Foundation and the England Table Tennis Association.
The London Schools programme encourages competition opportunities through the Table Tennis Championships with progression to the regional and grand finals, plus the donation of indoor and outdoor table tennis tables for schools.
Now in its third year the scheme has had 756 tables donated to more than 200 London schools. Jack Petchey, CBE, the 88 year old founder of the Foundation is passionate about giving young people freedom and opportunity.
He said: "I’ve been a fan of table tennis since my own youth. It’s a fantastic sport for young people to play and this partnership is popular and growing."
