Barnet assistant head coach Ulrich Landvreugd says there were plenty of positives to take from the Bees’ 3-0 victory against Hitchin Town.
A brace from trialist Marciano Mengerink and a Mauro Vilhete goal sealed a comfortable win for a much-changed Barnet side.
Bees head coach Edgar Davids was absent at Top Field and Landvreugd took charge for the second time in pre-season.
Speaking after the game, he said: “We need to make sure that the first eleven have plenty of competition and that is good for the squad.
“There were a lot of positives. Of course the younger players can make mistakes but they played exactly how we wanted to play.
“We passed out from the back, there was a lot of movement from the midfielders and we created a lot of opportunities.I was really impressed by the whole team.”
