Finchley Racing Team’s Andy Hastings smashed the course record at the Brickendon ten mile time trial to clinch victory at the event.
Hastings crossed the line in 19.33 which was thirteen seconds quicker than the previous best time for the course.
The Finchley rider followed his success with a second place finish at the Python Road Race.
Hastings was supported by Vince Divine who covered all the attempted breaks for the first hour of the race.
After all the ground work Hastings attacked and got in a break with one other rider but narrowly missed out on the win in the sprint.
He did gain enough British Cycling points to gain his Elite racing licence which puts him in the top category of British racing.
