A fine knock of 107 not out from Tanweer Sikandar helped Potters Bar record a 75-run victory against Burnham in Home Counties Premier League Division One.
Due to heavy rain overnight, the contest was reduced to a 46 overs-a-side game. Burnham won the toss and put Bar into bat.
Tom Cloughlan was caught without troubling the score but that brought Sikandar to the crease and alongside David Breeze (30), he helped get their side to 81 for two.
Sikandar continued to add runs and he was joined by Daniel Pascoe, who reached 53 off 61 balls before being bowled by Adnan Malik.
Potters Bar ended the innings on 223 for three and their bowlers made early inroads into the Burnham top order.
Restrictive bowling from Bar meant Burnham’s batsmen struggled to build solid partnerships and they were skittled well short of their target on 148.
Pascoe (three for 36) and Marc Milligan (three for 25) were the pick
