Stanmore secured a winning draw from their first Middlesex County Cricket League Division One match of the season as they took on Twickenham.

Stanmore won the toss and elected to bowl and Twickenham made a good start to their innings with Donovan Fyfe scoring a well worked 29.

Parminda Singh (55) and David Russell (100) added the majority of the Twickenham runs and they ended with a strong total of 255 all out.

Darshan Malde ended with three for 38 from his 12 overs while there were two wickets apiece for Marc Reingold and Nicholas Goh.

With the bat, Stanmore’s batsmen scored steadily and they looked to have a built a solid innings with the score on 141 for six.

However, the game was ended in the 32nd over and Stanmore were awarded a winning draw. Jake Whiteaker top scored with 33 while Jimi Chialoufous (30) and Goh (31) also scored well.
