Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall praised his side's resolve after the Men in Black came from 13 points behind to beat Wasps 22-13.

A Christian Wade try and a penalty from Elliot Daly saw Wasps score 13 points in five minutes early in the first half but Chris Wyles went over soon after and Chris Ashton completed Sarries' comeback in the second half.

The Men in Black boss admits Saracens weren't at their best but believes the character shown by his players was more important.

"It's a great win absolutely especially given Wasps' record here," he said.

"I think one thing we have got better at over the last 12 months is dealing with setbacks.

"We were points down (against Leicester Tigers) at Welford Road a few weeks ago, we were points down at Racing Metro in the Heineken Cup.

"The boys showed great resolve to not panic, to hang in there and know that when we get going we can get some points on the board.

"What we've been good at in the last four or five matches is taking a lot of our opportunities.

"Today we dropped a few over their line and we had some great chances but I think it's more important that we showed the resolve that we showed.

"We came back from 13 points down, we kept them scoreless for the last 67 minutes of the match which says a lot, so there's a great spirit and a great togetherness about the squad."

Saracens are now four points clear at the top of the Premiership table and 11 points ahead of third placed Harlequins.

McCall added: "It's important today because it just gives us that little bit of breathing space which we wanted."

"We've used 28 players in the last two matches, we've used 38 players in the last six matches and it's all systems go for Ulster now which is a winner takes all game."

The Men in Black play the Irish giants next Saturday in the Heineken Cup quarter-final at Twickenham.
