Barnet-born racing driver Liam Griffin will hope to get his British Touring Car Championship campaign off to a positive start at Brands Hatch this weekend.
The 39-year-old will be competing against 32 cars and drivers - a record number of entrants in the Championship – in the first rounds which are held over Saturday and Sunday.
Griffin will be driving a Ford Focus in the new for 2013 Jack Sears Trophy section. This trophy is for drivers using last season’s cars that do not utilise the latest turbo charged engines.
There is racing and practice on Saturday before three rounds of the touring cars, as well as a full supporting program, the following day.
Griffin will be taking part in his third season in the Championship and his Focus will carry sponsorship from London hire car company Addison Lee.
