Barnet will be hoping to extend their unbeaten home run to seven matches tomorrow as the Bees welcome Cheltenham Town to Underhill.

A 2-0 victory over Fleetwood Town on Tuesday night was a welcome boost for Edgar Davids’ side after their disappointing 3-2 defeat at Accrington Stanley three days earlier.

Barnet are just two points above the relegation zone with seven games remaining but back-to-back home fixtures gives the Bees a chance to open a gap over those in the bottom two.

Since Davids made his debut for the club in October his side have been beaten just once at Underhill in the league – a 1-0 loss against Aldershot on New Year’s Day.

“I hope we can continue our good form at home until the end of the season,” the Bees head coach said. “We need the points and if we put in good performances then that is a positive for us.”

Harry Crawford was handed his first start for the Bees against Fleetwood on Tuesday night and Davids was happy with the 21-year-old's display. 

The Dutchman said: “I was very pleased with his performance, I thought that Harry was excellent.

“He could have sulked or he could have bounced back. He has done the second thing.

“I had a talk with Harry when he joined. He decided to join a lower level team in the summer without a contract to prove himself.

“Now you see in training he picks up things very quickly. So I am happy with how he played and I hope that he can continue this form.”

Davids will be unavailable for tomorrow’s game as he serves the final match of a two game suspension after being sent off against Accrington Stanley.

The Bees will hope to have Elliot Johnson, Jake Hyde and Ross Jenkins back in the squad after the trio missed the victory over Fleetwood due to illness.

“I hope they have a speedy recovery and that they can play a part in another tough match against a top side at the weekend,” Davids explained.

“It is going to be hard, a difficult game but we’re used to that now. I think Cheltenham are a strong side. They will be ready to give everything they can to get themselves into League One.”

Barnet midfielder Mark Byrne added: “Cheltenham Town on Saturday is another massive game for us. They’re a good team and it will be very tough.

“Like Fleetwood they’re pushing for a place in the play-offs but we have shown on more than one occasion that we can beat anyone in the league.

“Hopefully we can get another three points and go into Easter weekend with some real momentum.”

Barnet suffered a 1-0 defeat against the Robins earlier in the season. There will be a return for former Bee Sam Deering as well as Michael Hector, who spent the majority of the 2011/2012 campaign on loan at the Bees.
