Finchley Racing Team returned to form at the weekend as Vince Divine took victory at the Ciclos Uno Road Race held in Essex.
Divine and teammate Lee Rowe were part of a five man group that formed at the start of the race. With five laps remaining Rowe dropped back which left Divine isolated.
The breakaway group was down to three riders with two laps left and Divine decided to attack at the kilometre mark.
He was chased down and forced to start the sprint from 200m but held on to claim his first win of the season. Rowe crossed the line in fifth but was first in his age category.
Divine said: "It’s fantastic to finally win a race after finishing second in the previous three, and to beat Anthony Wallis who is a former Great Britain rider is an added bonus"
