Saracens have confirmed the club's controversial 'fat lady singing' stunt will not appear during this Sunday's clash against Harlequins at Allianz Park.
The 'fat lady', a man dressed in drag, sang over the tannoy during matches against Exeter Chiefs and London Welsh before the final whistle had blown to suggest the match was over.
While the club intended the gimic to be in good humour, some fans were less enthusiastic and expressed their disapproval at the London Welsh game and afterwards online.
The club website said today: "The ‘Fat Lady’ has confirmed she is unable to attend the Aviva Premiership match between Saracens and Harlequins at Allianz Park on Sunday 24 March."
