Edgar Davids believes Barnet’s match at Accrington Stanley tomorrow is a game the Bees “must not lose.”

Accrington are bottom of the league table and have won just one of their last 11 matches.

However, if they are victorious at the Crown Ground tomorrow they will go level with Barnet on 40 points.

It is why Davids says he team must not be beaten.

“We want to go there and play well but it is also about winning,” the Bees head coach said.

“We will go there looking to win the game but also we definitely must not lose.”

Barnet were beaten 1-0 by Oxford United on Tuesday night but Davids believes his players have the “backbone” to react to the defeat.

He said. “The players bounced back well when they were beaten by Plymouth. So I believe they have the strength and backbone to bounce back again.”

Barnet goalkeeper Graham Stack echoed the thoughts of his manager.

Stack said: “We must not get beaten up there. That is not a negative attitude because that is what this league is like away from home.

“You go away from home looking not to get beaten and then you need to win your home games. That is something we have always said.

“We haven’t been too bad on the road of late barring the Plymouth game. So we will go there confident.

“We are not down because we were beaten (at Oxford). We didn’t play poorly there so we will move on and I think Saturday is a good chance for us to do that.”

There will be at least two changes to the Barnet side which was beaten at Oxford United as Dani Lopez and Bondz N’Gala were recalled by Stevenage on Wednesday.

New loan signing Tom Flanagan could make his debut for the Bees after joining the club yesterday and Jake Hyde should be restored to the starting XI.

John Oster is likely to remain absent due to a hamstring injury and Craig Beattie is also a doubt for the trip.

Harry Crawford could return to the squad after he was recalled by Barnet from his loan spell at Dartford this week.
