Yamilé Aldama produced a season’s best performance at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg to clinch sixth place in the final.
The Shaftesbury Barnet Harrier represented Team GB at the event in Sweden and eased into the final with a jump of 13.92m.
Aldama, who competed at the London 2012 Olympics, secured sixth in the final on Sunday with her season’s best jump of 13.95.
After overcoming injury, Aldama has set her sights on competing at the World Championships in Russia in August.
New Shaftesbury Barnet member Dylan Carlsson-Smith was in action at the England Athletics Indoor Under-15/Under-17 Combined Events Championships in Sheffield.
The Under-17 athlete competed in his first heptathlon and finished with an impressive 3,191 points.
In the 60m he clocked 8.17 before crossing the line in 9.75 in the 60m hurdles. In the high jump he cleared 1.48m and in the pole vault he went over 3.20m.
Carlsson-Smith stopped the clock in 3.13.60 in the 1000m while reaching 4.91m in the long jump. His throw of 8.66m in the 5kg shot put helped him to 11th place.
