Finchley ABC boxer and former Junior ABA and NABC champion Jacob Peterson recorded a points victory over Carl Baptiste at the Hockwell ABC show at Luton.
Peterson had the advantage, throwing out several long shots against Baptiste’s busier work rate to take the first two rounds.
Peterson took his foot off the pedal in the third and allowed Baptiste to initiate some attacks. However, the Finchley fighter had done enough to be announced as the victor.
On the same show, Jonathan Kumuteo boxed Hockwell’s Bin Khan.
Kumuteo appeared to have won every round with his heavier shots and it came as a surprise when the points decision was given to Khan.
At the Sidcup ABC show, Finchley’s NABC champion Eunnis Chaimer was considered unlucky to lose the decision to Zac Lambori of Fitzroy Lodge ABC.
Chaimer, a notably slow starter, lost the first round but improved in the second. In the third and fourth rounds, Chaimer took control but was not deemed to have done enough for victory.
Finchley’s Yaser Haykal lost a points decision to Andy Another and it was the same result for Michael Mcdonnagh against Mark Bellamy.
Finchley fighter Paul Greenidge dispensed with the judges by knocking out southpaw Martin Baker of Sidcup ABC with a terrific right hand in the first round of their bout.
