Channel 5's new drama The Catch follows the story of Ed Collier, a proud family man and local fisherman. 

But Ed quickly finds his life spiralling out of control when a rich man enters his daughters Abbie's life and threatens to take her away. 

The psychological thriller is based on the book of the same name by TM Logan which was critically acclaimed when it was released back in 2020. 

Now the book has been adapted by writer Michael Crompton who is best known for his work on shows including Safe House, The Holiday and more. 

The Catch also features Hollywood names, with the star of the royal drama, The Crown Jason Watkins taking the lead. 

Watkins played former Primer Minster Harold Wilson in the Netflix drama and has featured in police drama Line of Duty, comedies Trollied and W1A as well as movies including the Nativity franchise.

How to watch The Catch

The Catch is being shown on Channel 5 starting on Wednesday, January 25 from 9pm until 10pm. 

The drama will also be available to watch on My5 with four episodes altogether airing weekly at the same time.
