Today is World Vegan Day, a day that celebrates the vegan lifestyle and how far the movement has come in recent years.
Many choose to go vegan for animal cruelty reasons, others for health benefits and some for the effect meat production has on the environment.
Regardless of the reason behind your choice, nowadays it isn’t hard to find a vegan alternative in most restaurants. Even fast-food chains have started offering vegan substitutes.
For those of you who want to celebrate World Vegan Day the quick way this year, we’ve listed some of the fast-food joints that serve up vegan options.
McDonald’s - McPlant
Earlier this month McDonald’s released its first vegan burger, the McPlant. Made with a Beyond Meat patty, vegan sandwich sauce, ketchup, mustard, onion, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and a vegan alternative to cheese, this burger is a great vegan option from McDonald’s.
