Potters Bar residents have until the end of October to vote in elections for Hertfordshire’s new police and crime commissioner.
Hertsmere residents could lose their chance to have a say if they do not return their electoral form by Wednesday, October 31.
It is estimated around 8,000 households in the borough have not returned their completed forms.
The new police and crime commissioner will be responsible for the way crime is tackled in Hertfordshire.
Labour’s Sherma Baston will stand against Conservative candidate David Lloyd in the elections for Hertfordshire, which are due to take place on November 15.
Liberal Democrat contender, Ron Tindall, pulled out of the elections last week due to personal reasons.
Electoral forms can be downloaded online or obtained by telephoning Hertsmere Council.
