A 39-year-old man who died following an assault in Friern Barnet on September 5 has been named.

Police were called to Larch Close at 11.20pm following reports of an assault.

Dritan Kaci, of Larch Close, was taken by ambulance to the Whittington Hospital where he died at 3.50am on September 6.

His death is being treated as suspicious but a post mortem examination, which took place on September 6, failed to establish a formal cause of death so police are awaiting the results of further tests.

Today police are handing out leaflets in the area of the attack in the hope of prompting local people to give them information about the crime.

Thus far a 42-year-old man, a 38-year-old man, a 28-year-old man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the investigation.

All have been bailed to return to a police station at the end of September.
