A borough-wide parking review has been announced by Barnet Council following a “successful” trial in North Finchley.
The authority quizzed traders in the town centre over several weeks to assess the parking arrangements and today the authority announced its plans to extend the study.
The council is looking at custom-fitting parking policies to the borough’s individual town centres, depending on the needs of shoppers and traders.
Parking officers have begun writing to businesses across the borough and have set a deadline of September 28 to complete an online questionnaire.
The move has been announced one week after prices in seven council-owned car parks were lowered as part of a raft of changes brought in since the sacking of former parking chief Brian Coleman.
