A woman in her 60s knocked down by a van in High Barnet remains in hospital in a critical condition.
Police believe the vehicle mounted the curb before the woman was struck.
Officers arrested the driver of the van, a 58-year-old man, on suspicion of dangerous driving.
Paramedics, police and the air ambulance attended the incident in Wood Street, at the junction with Argyle Road, on August 30.
The woman suffered multiple injuries and was rushed to an East London hospital, where she remains.
The driver has been bailed to return to a north London police station on December 17 pending further investigation.
