A motorcyclist killed when his bike veered off the road and hit a sign post near Staples Corner in the early hours of Saturday morning was a “wonderful, happy” man.

Mourad Keskas, 22, died at the scene of the crash on the eastbound entry slip road of the North Circular at 1.45am.

It is believed that the university student, who lived in Golders Green, lost control of his Suzuki and hit the curb before being thrown onto the pavement.

Mr Keskas’s uncle, Belkacem Rahmouni, 60, said: “He was a wonderful, happy man. He was so good.

“He was smiling all the time and telling jokes.

“Everybody loved him. He was just a young man with so many dreams.”

Boubekeur Alouache, Mr Keskas’s cousin, added: “He was a nice guy and very sociable.

“He knew lots of people in Hendon Central as he went to the gym there, and lots in Finchley as he was at school there.

“He had a lot of friends.”

Police are appealing for witnesses of the crash to call them on 0208 8421817.
