Shoppers have raised more than £1,000 for a Barnet athletics club by pushing themselves on exercise machines in Brent Cross.
The shopping centre agreed to donate 60p for every minute completed by shoppers on exercise bikes, Playstation and powerspin equipment, to the Barnet and District club.
So far, almost 2,000 people have taken part, with the money raised going towards improving grassroots sport.
Mel Parker, chairman of the Barnet & District Athletics Club said: “I am really pleased. We’re hoping to raise the money to engage more of the community in our activities, and in particular to encourage more young people into the sport of athletics.”
