On May 23 Wilbraham’s Hospital Charity in Monken Hadley celebrated its 400th year anniversary.
The charity, which has been run by the Jesus Hospital Charity in Chipping Barnet since 2010, provides almshouse accommodation for 54 women over the age of 50.
The anniversary was marked with a celebratory lunch in the surroundings of Hadley Wood Golf Club which was attended by residents of the almshouses, trustees and staff.
It was also attended by Martin Russell, deputy lieutenant of Greater London and the Mayor and Mayoress of Barnet, Brian and Linda Schama.
The guests were also treated to entertainment by students from the Susi Earnshaw Theatre School in Barnet.
