I experienced the unfortunate situation of being bitten by a dog last week. This would not be news to many readers because you hear about many incidents of attacks by dogs these days. Dog owners need to be extremely cautious by keeping their dogs secure or muzzling them.
I visited the urgent treatment centre at Edgware Community Hospital after the incident. I was very impressed with the service I got. The waiting time was around half-an-hour, my wound was dressed appropriately, and I was booked in for further dressing clinics for which there is no waiting time.
This is an absolutely marvellous service from the NHS. Readers who come across bad publicity about the NHS must remember that there is a big difference between truth and fallacy. I would not dream of paying for private treatment in future as some of the politicians take NHS as their three letter word of priority.
